We were there during the hurricane on Sept. 4, 2010. We were informed upon the pending hurricane and advised that we would need to take in the patio chairs. A power line was down in front of the hotel. Staff were helpful.
excellent value for money, spacious comfortable room
The staff was very attentative. I arrived by motorcycle in the rain - the underground parking was very appreciated. The room was clean. The location was a short walk to the Halifax ferry, which I used to go into Halifax to explore.
It was great for the value. The staff were knowlegeable and friendly.
This is not really a complaint, but the fscilities are a little dated.
Location was excellent for a quick and fun ferry ride to the heart of Halifax. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
Elevator noisey and rough
hospitality was excellent breakfast is good with a wide time scope
When you arrive there no sign to tell you where to park
Was attending a function at the Legion - so for me it was a great location
For the age of the room- I found the price for the 1 night to be a little expensive. WIth the hotel vacancy rate being what it is - I would have thought a lower rate would attraction more people. A 69.00 rate would probably attract more. As a senior using a walker the doors were too heavy to open comfortably. My daughter has worked for a major hotel chain for over 35 years- so I have had the opportunity to stay at other hotels.
Problems with getting into parking area
Parking lot a bit to be desired- paying $8.00 a nite for a badly gravelled parking lot was a lot to take/ also walkway to lot was badly pot holed .Breakfast was adequate for the price/ place was very quiet
Location, Price, Facilities and very helpful staff.
convenient location to harbour ferry, underground parking, continental breakfast, spacious rooms, and conveniences like fridge, ironing board, etc. Friendly staff and helpful.
mattress very hard and uncomfortable for me. My wife didn't seem to mind it.
I got upgraded to the PH Suite.
The stairs from flr 7 to flr 8, and the smell of flr 7.
It was about as expected. It is a decent facility that is in good repair. Staff is friendly. It is easy to find and located near the ferry terminal to Halifax for those who do not want to drive.
Parking was inconvient, but free.
